仁王般若波羅蜜護國經散華品第六
Chapter 6: The Scattering of Flowers (from the Sutra of the Benevolent Kings)
爾時，十六大國王聞佛說十萬億偈般若波羅蜜，歡喜無量，即散百萬億莖華，於虛空中變為一座，十方諸佛共坐此座，說般若波羅蜜。無量大眾共坐一座，持金羅華，散釋迦牟尼佛上，成萬輪華，蓋大眾上；復散八萬四千般若波羅蜜華於虛空中，變成白雲臺，臺中光明王佛，共無量眾，說般若波羅蜜。臺中大眾持雷吼華，散釋迦牟尼佛及諸大眾；復散妙覺華於虛空中，變作金剛城。城中師子吼王佛共十方佛、大菩薩論第一義諦。時城中菩薩，持光明華，散釋迦牟尼佛上，成一華臺，臺中十方佛。諸天散天華，於釋迦牟尼佛上虛空中成紫雲蓋，覆三千大千世界，蓋中天人散恒河沙華，如雲而下。時諸國王，散華供已，願過去佛、現在佛、未來佛常說般若波羅蜜，願一切受持者，比丘、比丘尼、信男、信女，所求如意，常行般若波羅蜜。
At that time, the sixteen great kings, having heard the Buddha expound the Prajnaparamita for millions of billions of verses, were filled with boundless joy. They scattered hundreds of millions of flower blossoms, which transformed in the sky into a single seat. All the Buddhas of the ten directions sat together on this seat and taught the Prajnaparamita. A vast multitude sat together on one seat, holding golden lotus flowers. They scattered them over Shakyamuni Buddha, forming a ten-thousand-petal canopy above the assembly. Then they scattered eighty-four thousand Prajnaparamita flowers into the sky, which transformed into a white cloud platform. Within the platform, the Radiant King Buddha, along with countless beings, taught the Prajnaparamita. The multitude on the platform held Thunder-roar flowers and scattered them over Shakyamuni Buddha and the great assembly. They also scattered Sublime Enlightenment flowers into the sky, which turned into a diamond city. Within the city, the Lion's Roar King Buddha, together with the Buddhas of the ten directions and great bodhisattvas, discussed the ultimate truth. Then the bodhisattvas in the city held Radiant Light flowers and scattered them over Shakyamuni Buddha, forming a flower platform, where the Buddhas of the ten directions appeared. The heavenly beings scattered celestial flowers, which in the sky above Shakyamuni Buddha became a purple cloud canopy covering the universe of a thousand worlds. Within this canopy, humans and gods scattered Ganges-river-sand-like flowers, which fell like clouds. Having made these offerings of flowers, the kings made a vow: "May the Buddhas of the past, present, and future always teach the Prajnaparamita. May all who uphold it—monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen—have their wishes fulfilled and always practice the Prajnaparamita."
佛告大王：「如是，如是！如王所說。般若波羅蜜應說應受，是諸佛母、諸菩薩母，神通生處。」
The Buddha said to the Great King, "That is exactly so, just as you have said. The perfection of wisdom should be explained and received, for it is the mother of all buddhas and the mother of all bodhisattvas, and it is the source from which spiritual powers arise."
時，佛為王現五不思議神變：一華入無量華，無量華入一華；一佛土入無量佛土，無量佛土入一佛土；無量佛土入一毛孔土，一毛孔土入無量毛孔土；無量須彌、無量大海入芥子中；一佛身入無量眾生身，無量眾生身入一佛身、入六道身、入地水火風身，佛身不可思議，眾生身不可思議，世界不可思議。佛現神足時，十方諸天人得佛華三昧，十恒河沙菩薩現身成佛，三恒河沙八部王成菩薩道，十千女人現身得神通三昧。
At that time, the Buddha displayed five inconceivable miraculous powers for the king:
- One flower entered countless flowers, and countless flowers entered a single flower. - One Buddha-land entered countless Buddha-lands, and countless Buddha-lands entered a single Buddha-land. - Countless Buddha-lands entered a single pore-land, and a single pore-land entered countless pore-lands. - Countless Mount Sumerus and countless great oceans entered a single mustard seed. - One Buddha body entered countless sentient beings’ bodies, and countless sentient beings’ bodies entered a single Buddha body—entering the bodies of beings in the six realms, entering the bodies of earth, water, fire, and wind. The Buddha's body is inconceivable, sentient beings’ bodies are inconceivable, and worlds are inconceivable.
When the Buddha manifested these miraculous powers, the gods and humans of the ten directions attained the Buddha Flower Samadhi. Ten Ganges River sands’ worth of bodhisattvas manifested their bodies and became Buddhas. Three Ganges River sands’ worth of kings of the eight classes of beings attained the Bodhisattva path. Ten thousand women manifested their bodies and attained the spiritual power samadhi.
「善男子！是般若波羅蜜有三世利益，過去已說，現在今說，未來當說。諦聽，諦聽！善思念之，如法修行。」
