### 鼎州大龍山炳賢禪師

> Master Bingxian of Dalong Mountain in Dingzhou

上堂。有僧問。如何是大龍境師云。堂前一堆土。巍峨倚半空　進云。如何是境中人　師云。淨掃門前地。迎待五湖賓。

> The master ascended the hall. A monk asked, "What is the realm of Great Dragon?" The master said, "A mound of earth before the hall, towering into the sky." The monk asked, "What about the person within this realm?" The master said, "Sweep the ground before the gate, to welcome guests from all directions."

問。如何是佛　師云。穿雲不度水。躡足降閻浮。

> Question: What is Buddha? Master said: Crossing clouds without crossing water, stepping lightly, descending into this world.

問。昔日先師語。如何透法身　師云。萬仞峰前句。不與白雲齊。

> Question: "In the past, the master said something. How does one penetrate the Dharmakaya?" The master replied: "The words spoken before a ten-thousand-\*ren\* peak do not align with the white clouds."

問。如何是動乾坤句　師云。透出龍宮翻大海。掌開日月倒須彌。

> Question: What is the phrase that shakes heaven and earth? The master said: It pierces through the Dragon Palace and overturns the great sea; it opens the sun and moon with a palm, and topples Mount Sumeru.

問。如何是出家人　師云。深　進云。如何是出家法　師云。苦。
