A verse says:

All beings are inherently pure in nature, From the beginning, neither born nor destined to cease. This very body and mind are but illusions born, Within illusion, there is no sin or merit.

The Long Āgama Sūtra says: When human lifespan reached twenty thousand years, this Buddha appeared in the world. He was born into a Brahmin family with the surname Kāśyapa. His father was named Brahma-virtue, and his mother was named Wealth-mistress. He dwelled in the city of Vārāṇasī, sitting beneath a nyagrodha tree. In a single teaching assembly, he liberated twenty thousand people. His two chief disciples were: one named Tiśya, and the other named Bhadrapāla. His attendant was named Good-friend, and his son was named Army-leader.
