> Chan Master Zhengjue of Yungai Mountain in Tanzhou

僧問。如何是和尚家風。師曰。四海不曾通。問。如何是一塵含法界。師曰。通身體不圓。曰。如何是九世剎那分。師曰。繁興不布彩。問。如何是宗門中的的意。師曰。萬里胡僧。不入波瀾。

> A monk asked, "What is the Master's family style?" The Master said, "Not even the four seas have been connected." The monk asked, "How is it that a single speck of dust contains the entire Dharma realm?" The Master said, "The whole body is not round." The monk asked, "How is it that nine ages are divided in a single instant?" The Master said, "Abundant activity does not spread color." The monk asked, "What is the true meaning within the school of Zen?" The Master said, "A foreign monk from ten thousand miles away does not enter the waves."
