僧問。如何是法身邊事。師曰。枯木糝花不犯春。曰。如何是法身向上事。師曰。石女不粧眉。

> A monk asked, "What is the matter concerning the Dharmakaya?" The master said, "A withered tree sprinkled with flowers—without offending spring." The monk asked, "What is the matter beyond the Dharmakaya?" The master said, "A stone woman does not adorn her eyebrows."
