### 饒州崇福德基禪師

> Master Fude Ji of Raozhou Chongfu

上堂。若於這裏會得。便能入一佛國。坐一道場。水鳥樹林。共談斯要。樓臺殿閣。同演真乘。續千聖不盡之燈。照八面無私之燄。所以道。在天同天。在人同人。還有知音者麼。良久曰。水底金烏天上日。眼中瞳子面前人。

> The Master addressed the assembly: "If you can understand this point right here, you will be able to enter a Buddha's land and sit in a single place of practice. The waters, birds, and trees all share in this essential teaching; the towers, terraces, and halls all proclaim the true vehicle together. This continues the lamp that a thousand sages could not extinguish, shining with a radiance that illuminates all directions without favor. Thus it is said: In heaven, share heaven's nature; among people, share people's nature. Is there anyone here who knows this? After a long pause, he said: The golden crow at the bottom of the water is the sun in the sky; the pupil in the eye is the person before you."
