### （七五一）

> Chapter 751

如是我聞：

> Thus have I heard:

一時，佛住舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。

> Thus have I heard: At one time, the Buddha was dwelling in the Jeta Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s Park, in Śrāvastī.

爾時，世尊告諸比丘：「若在家、若出家而起邪事者，我所不說。所以者何？若在家、出家而起邪事者，則不樂正法。何等為邪事？謂邪見，乃至邪定，若在家、出家而起正事，我所讚歎。所以者何？起正事者，則樂正法，善於正法。何等為正事？謂正見，乃至正定。」

> At that time, the World-Honored One addressed the monks, saying: "Whether lay or monastic, if one engages in wrong practices, I do not praise them. Why is that? Because one who engages in wrong practices does not delight in the true Dharma. What are wrong practices? They are wrong views, up to wrong concentration. Whether lay or monastic, if one engages in right practices, I praise them. Why is that? Because one who engages in right practices delights in the true Dharma and is skilled in the true Dharma. What are right practices? They are right views, up to right concentration."

爾時，世尊即說偈言：

> At that moment, the World-Honored One spoke this verse:

「在家及出家， 而起邪事者，彼則終不樂， 無上之正法，在家及出家， 而起正事者，彼則常心樂， 無上之正法。」

> For laypeople and monastics alike, Who engage in wrong deeds, They will never find joy In the supreme and true Dharma. For laypeople and monastics alike, Who engage in right deeds, They will always find joy In the supreme and true Dharma.

佛說此經已，諸比丘聞佛所說，歡喜奉行。

> After the Buddha had spoken this sutra, all the bhikkhus rejoiced in his words and faithfully put them into practice.
