上堂。機先一句萬別千差。三日一風五日一雨。田疇水足萬物發生。且道陝府鐵牛髭鬚長多少。卓拄杖下座。

> The master ascended the hall and said, "Before the workings of conditions, one phrase covers a thousand distinctions. Wind comes every three days, rain every five.
