潭州人。上堂。入門便棒。入門便喝。臨濟德山現錢足陌。諸人還知落處麼。六月不熱五穀不結。上堂。離四句絕百非。西來祖意覿面提持。擬心湊泊隔雲泥。上堂。松風涼秋夜長。虫鳴古砌。葉墮銀床。何事五湖雲水客。甘心流落在他鄉。

> A native of Tanzhou. When he ascended the hall, he struck with his staff the moment one entered the gate, and shouted the moment one entered. Linji and Deshan—real cash, full measure. Do you all understand where this lands? If it doesn't get hot in June, the five grains won't ripen in autumn. Another day at the hall: Beyond the four propositions, cutting off the hundred negations—the ancestral intent from the West is presented right before your eyes.
