上堂。即心即佛舌頭無骨。非心非佛此地無金。還識馬大師用處麼。聽雨寒更盡。開門發華深。

> The Master entered the hall and said: "The mind itself is Buddha"—these words have no substance. "Not mind, not Buddha"—this place has no gold. Do you still recognize the function of Great Master Ma? Listening to the rain, the cold night comes to an end; Opening the door, the blossoms are deep in bloom.
