七種最勝共相應故。由是因緣，於諸菩提最為殊勝。

> Because it is endowed with the seven supreme and excellent attributes, it is, for this reason, the most outstanding among all forms of enlightenment.

云何名為七種最勝？一者、所依最勝，二者、正行最勝，三者、圓滿最勝，四者、智最勝，五者、威力最勝，六者、斷最勝，七者、住最勝。

> What are the seven supreme qualities? First, the supreme foundation. Second, the supreme practice. Third, the supreme fulfillment. Fourth, the supreme wisdom. Fifth, the supreme power. Sixth, the supreme cessation. Seventh, the supreme abiding.

由諸如來以三十二大丈夫相等莊嚴其身，故名所依最勝。

> Adorned by all Tathagatas with the thirty-two marks of a great being, thus it is called the supreme foundation.

由諸如來自利利他，利益安樂無量眾生，哀愍世間，令諸天人獲得義利利益安樂而行正行，故名正行最勝。

> Because it brings benefit to oneself and others, bringing welfare and happiness to countless living beings, showing compassion for the world, and leading gods and humans to gain true benefit, welfare, and happiness through righteous conduct—this is why it is called "the supreme righteous conduct."

由諸如來無上無等四種圓滿，謂戒圓滿、見圓滿、軌則圓滿、淨命圓滿，皆悉成就，故名圓滿最勝。

> Because they fully possess the unsurpassed and unequaled fourfold perfection of all Tathagatas—namely, the perfection of ethical conduct, the perfection of view, the perfection of conduct and behavior, and the perfection of pure livelihood—they are called "supreme perfection."

由諸如來無上無等四無礙解，謂法無礙解。義無礙解、訓詞無礙解、辯說無礙解，皆悉成就故，名智最勝。

由諸如來無上無等如前所說六種神通皆悉成就，故名威力最勝。

> Because they have attained the unsurpassed and unequalled six supernormal powers of the Tathāgatas as described above, they are called "the most excellent in miraculous power."

由諸如來無上無等一切煩惱習氣永斷，及一切所知障永斷皆悉成就，故名斷最勝。

> Because the Thus-Come Ones have completely ended all defilements and habitual tendencies, and have totally eliminated all obstacles to knowledge, this is called the supreme perfection of cessation.

由諸如來多住無上無等三住，謂聖住、天住、梵住，故名住最勝。

> Because the Tathāgatas dwell extensively in the three supreme abodes—the noble abode, the celestial abode, and the pure abode—they are called "dwellers in the highest."

當知此中，空、無願、無相住，及滅盡定住，是名聖住。四種靜慮、四無色定，是名天住。四種無量，是名梵住。於此三住中，如來多住四最勝住。謂於聖住中，多住空住、滅盡定住；於天住中，多住無動第四靜慮住；於梵住中，多住大悲住。由是如來晝夜六時，晝三、夜三，常以佛眼觀察世間誰增、誰減，我應令誰未起善根而種善根，廣說乃至我應令誰建立最勝阿羅漢果。又諸如來所依最勝故，名大丈夫。正行最勝故，名大悲者。圓滿最勝故，名大戒者及大法者。智最勝故，名大慧者。威力最勝故，名大神通者。斷最勝故，名大解脫者。住最勝故，名多安住、廣大住者。
