安州大安山興古禪師。僧問。亡僧遷化向什麼處去也。師曰。昨夜三更月上峯。問維摩寂默是說不是說。師曰。暗裏石牛兒超然不出戶。

> The monk asked, "Where does a deceased monk go after his passing?" The master replied, "Last night at midnight, the moon rose over the peak." The monk then asked, "Is Vimalakirti's silence considered speech or not?" The master replied, "In the dark, the stone ox remains still, never leaving its door."
