子若憶母，如母憶時，母子歷生，不相違遠。若眾生心，憶佛念佛，現前當來，必定見佛，去佛不遠，不假方便，自得心開。

> If a child remembers their mother with the same intensity that the mother remembers the child, then mother and child will never be separated, even across many lifetimes. Likewise, if sentient beings keep their minds fixed on the Buddha, reciting the Buddha's name with mindfulness, then in this very life or in a future one, they will surely see the Buddha. They will not be far from the Buddha, and without needing any special methods or expedients, their hearts will naturally open to awakening.

補遺云：勢至所說心開，既而自得，如所謂何藉劬勞，故云不假方便。
