In life, the gate was stern and strict; at death, the stick and shout came together. With one thought, always observing the self-existent, heaven and hell are no different. People speak of causes, conditions, and retribution; I speak of the true nature of one’s own lot. Only by accepting what comes against you with patience—let the illusions and empty flowers be.
