> Seventh Day

「如是如是．入第二禪。如是如是．入第三禪。如是如是．乃至入第四禪〔參照同經七七至八一〕。吾友．命身二者．一耶異耶之語．於如是知．如是見比丘．豈相應耶。」「吾友．此語〔不〕相應也。」「吾友．我亦如是知、如是見．故不說言．命身二者．一耶異耶。」

> "In this way, one enters the second meditative absorption. In this way, one enters the third meditative absorption. In this way, one even enters the fourth meditative absorption. My friend, for a monk who knows and sees in this way, would it be appropriate to say, 'Are life and body the same or different?'" "My friend, that statement is not appropriate." "My friend, I too know and see in this way, and therefore I do not say, 'Are life and body the same or different?'"
