### 第六　賓頭盧經

> Chapter 6: Pindola Sutra

如是我聞。

> Thus have I heard.

一時，世尊在舍衛城，祗陀林，給孤獨長者園住。時賓頭盧頗羅墮逝尊者，以住森林者，托鉢者，糞掃衣者，少欲知足，靜處獨居，精進少語，增上定心，而為行持，於佛不遠，雙跏趺坐。世尊見賓頭盧尊者，以住森林者……乃至增上定心，而為行持。

> At one time, the Blessed One was staying near Sāvatthī, in Jeta's Grove, the park of Anāthapiṇḍika the benefactor. At that time, the Venerable Piṇḍola Bhāradvāja was practicing as a forest dweller, a alms-food eater, a rag-robe wearer, possessing few desires and contentment, dwelling in solitude, diligent and quiet, with a mind focused in higher concentration, seated cross-legged not far from the Buddha. The Blessed One saw the Venerable Piṇḍola, practicing as a forest dweller... and so forth up to... with a mind focused in higher concentration.

爾時世尊，如是知已，而自說言。

> At that time, the World-Honored One, having understood thus, spoke these words himself.

不誹謗人，不侵害人，受持最勝，波羅木叉，知量而食，坐臥靜處精進定心，是諸佛教。

> Do not speak ill of others, do not harm others. Uphold the highest precepts, the code of moral conduct. Eat in moderation, dwell in quiet places, and cultivate diligence and a focused mind. This is the teaching of all Buddhas.
