Translated by the Tripitaka Master Buddhabhadra of Tianzhu during the Eastern Jin Dynasty
With body, speech, and mind purified, and all defilements cleansed away, With single-minded reverence, I bow to all Buddhas of the ten directions and three times.
Through the power of Samantabhadra's vows, I behold all Buddhas, And before each Tathagata, I bow with offerings as numerous as dust motes in all lands.
In a single mote of dust, I see all Buddhas, Surrounded by assemblies of Bodhisattvas; so it is with every mote in the Dharma Realm.
With wondrous voices, I proclaim the supreme ones, The immeasurable ocean of merits, inexhaustible and unfathomable.
Through the power of Samantabhadra's practice, with supreme offerings, I make offerings to all Buddhas of the ten directions and three times.
With exquisite incense, flowers, garlands, and various kinds of music, With all wondrous adornments, I universally make offerings to all Buddhas.
All evil deeds I have committed through greed, anger, and delusion, All unwholesome actions of body, speech, and mind, I repent and utterly eradicate.
The merits of all sentient beings, of all Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, Of all Bodhisattvas and Buddhas, I rejoice in them all.
All Buddhas of the ten directions, newly attaining perfect enlightenment, I urge them all to turn the supreme Dharma wheel.
Those who show the way to Nirvana, I join my palms and reverently request: "Dwell for all dust-mote kalpas, bringing peace and happiness to all beings."
All merits I have gathered, I dedicate and give to all sentient beings, Ultimately practicing the Bodhisattva path, attaining unsurpassed enlightenment.
I make offerings to all Buddhas of the past and present in the ten directions, And pray that the future World-Honored Ones swiftly accomplish the path of enlightenment.
May all Buddha lands in the ten directions be universally adorned, With the Tathagatas seated upon the seat of enlightenment, surrounded by assemblies of Bodhisattvas.
May all sentient beings in the ten directions be freed from all afflictions, Deeply understand the true meaning, and forever dwell in peace and happiness.
As I cultivate the Bodhisattva practice, may I attain the wisdom of past lives, Eradicate all obstacles, leaving not a trace behind.
May I be completely free from the cycles of birth and death, from the deeds of Māras and afflictions, Like the sun in the sky, like a lotus unstained by water.
May I travel everywhere throughout the ten directions, teaching and guiding all beings, Eradicating the sufferings of the evil paths, perfecting the Bodhisattva practice.
Though I accord with the world, I will not abandon the Bodhisattva path. For all future kalpas, I will cultivate the practice of Samantabhadra.
If there are fellow practitioners, may we always gather together. In wholesome deeds of body, speech, and mind, may we all be in harmony.
If I meet a spiritual friend who reveals the practice of Samantabhadra, May I stay close to that Bodhisattva and never part.
May I always see all Buddhas, surrounded by assemblies of Bodhisattvas, And for all future kalpas, reverently make offerings to them all.
May I protect all Buddhadharma and praise the Bodhisattva practice. For all future kalpas, I will cultivate, ultimately accomplishing Samantabhadra's way.
Though dwelling in birth and death, may I be endowed with inexhaustible merits, With wisdom and skillful means, with all samādhis and liberations.
In each mote of dust, may I see inconceivable lands. In each land, may I see inconceivable Buddhas.
Thus I see all oceans of worlds in the ten directions, And in each ocean of worlds, I see the oceans of Buddhas.
In a single utterance, may I possess all wondrous sounds. In each wondrous sound, may I possess the supreme sound.
With profound wisdom-power, I enter the inexhaustible wondrous sounds, Turning the pure, right Dharma wheel of all Buddhas of the three times.
All future kalpas, I can condense into a single thought. All kalpas of the three times become the span of a single thought.
In a single thought, I see all Tathagatas of the three times, And universally discern and know their liberation and their realms.
From a single mote of dust, pure lands of the three times arise. All motes of dust in the ten directions adorn lands in the same way.
I see all future Buddhas attaining enlightenment and turning the Dharma wheel, Completing all Buddha deeds, then manifesting entry into Nirvana.
With spiritual power, I travel everywhere. With the power of the Great Vehicle's universal gate, With the power of compassion covering all, with the power of practice fulfilling all merits.
With the power of merits purified, with the power of wisdom unobstructed, With the power of samādhi and skillful means, I attain the power of enlightenment.
With the power of pure wholesome deeds, with the power to eradicate afflictions, With the power to scatter and defeat all Māras, I am endowed with the power of Samantabhadra's practice.
I adorn and purify oceans of Buddha lands, liberate oceans of sentient beings, Discern oceans of karmic deeds, and exhaustively explore oceans of wisdom.
I purify oceans of practices, fulfill oceans of vows, See all oceans of Buddhas, and practice throughout oceans of kalpas.
The practices of all Buddhas of the three times, and their immeasurable great vows, I fully possess them all. Through Samantabhadra's practice, I attain Buddhahood.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's name: the foremost son of all Buddhas. The roots of goodness I dedicate, I vow to be identical with his.
With body, speech, and mind purified, freely adorning lands, Attaining perfect enlightenment, may I be identical with Samantabhadra.
As with Mañjuśrī's and Samantabhadra's practices, All my roots of goodness, I dedicate in the same way.
The dedication path praised by all Tathagatas of the three times— I dedicate my roots of goodness to perfect and fulfill Samantabhadra's practice.
When my life ends, may all obstacles be removed. May I see Amitābha face to face and be reborn in the Land of Peace and Bliss.
After being born in that Buddha land, may I fulfill all great vows. May Amitābha Tathagata appear before me and confer my prediction.
Adorning the practice of Samantabhadra, fulfilling the vows of Mañjuśrī, For all future kalpas, ultimately practicing the Bodhisattva path.
