### 囑累品第十八丹第二十四

> Chapter 18<note>Dān 24</note>

爾時世尊現神通力，令魔波旬及其軍眾來詣佛所，作是言：「世尊！我與眷屬今於佛前立此誓願：『是經所流布處，若說法者及聽法者，并彼國土不起魔事，亦當擁護是經！』」

> At that time, the World-Honored One displayed his spiritual powers, causing Mara Papiyan and his army to come before the Buddha, who said: "World-Honored One! I and my followers now make this vow before the Buddha: Wherever this sutra spreads, we will not create obstacles for those who teach it or those who listen to it, nor for the land where it is taught. We will also protect this sutra!"

爾時世尊放金色光照此世界，告文殊師利言：「如來今護念是經，利益諸法師故。是經在閻浮提，隨其歲數佛法不滅。」

> At that time, the World-Honored One emitted a golden light that illuminated this world and said to Manjushri: "The Tathagata now protects and cherishes this scripture for the benefit of all Dharma teachers. As long as this scripture exists in Jambudvipa, the Buddha's teachings will not fade away, no matter how many years pass."

爾時會中眾生以一切花、一切香、一切末香而散佛上，作是言：「世尊！願使是經久住閻浮提，廣宣流布。」

> At that time, the beings gathered in the assembly scattered all kinds of flowers, all kinds of incense, and all kinds of powdered incense upon the Buddha, saying: "World-Honored One, may this sutra long abide in the world of Jambudvipa, and be widely proclaimed and spread."

於是佛告阿難：「汝受持是經不？」

> Then the Buddha said to Ānanda, "Are you keeping this sūtra in mind?"

阿難言：「唯然，受持！」

「阿難！我今以是經囑累於汝，受持、讀誦、為人廣說。」

阿難白佛言：「世尊！若人受持是經，讀誦、解說，得幾所功德？」

佛告阿難：「隨是經所有文字、章句之數，盡壽以一切樂具供養爾所諸佛及僧；若人乃至供養是經卷，恭敬、尊重、讚歎，其福為勝。是人現世得十一功德之藏。何等為十一？見佛藏，得天眼故；聽法藏，得天耳故；見僧藏，得不退轉菩薩僧故；無盡財藏，得寶手故；色身藏，具三十二相故；眷屬藏，得不可壞眷屬故；所未聞法藏，得陀羅尼故；憶念藏，得樂說辯故；無所畏藏，破壞一切外道論故；福德藏，利益眾生故；智慧藏，得一切佛法故。」

> The Buddha told Ananda: "If someone were to take the number of words, phrases, and chapters in this sutra, and for their entire lifetime offer all kinds of delightful gifts to that many Buddhas and their monastic communities—that person's merit would still be surpassed by someone who simply makes offerings to this sutra, honoring it, respecting it, praising it, and cherishing it. Such a person will attain eleven treasures of merit in this very life. What are these eleven? First, the treasure of seeing the Buddha—for they will gain the divine eye. Second, the treasure of hearing the Dharma—for they will gain the divine ear. Third, the treasure of seeing the Sangha—for they will join the assembly of irreversible bodhisattvas. Fourth, the treasure of inexhaustible wealth—for they will gain the hand that bestows gifts. Fifth, the treasure of an excellent physical form—for they will acquire the thirty-two marks of a great being. Sixth, the treasure of a noble community—for they will have an unbreakable retinue. Seventh, the treasure of untaught teachings—for they will gain the power of memory (dharani). Eighth, the treasure of mindful retention—for they will gain eloquence and joy in speaking. Ninth, the treasure of fearlessness—for they will defeat all arguments of non-Buddhist paths. Tenth, the treasure of merit—for they will benefit all beings. Eleventh, the treasure of wisdom—for they will attain all the qualities of a Buddha."

佛說是經時，七十二那由他眾生得無生法忍，無量眾生發阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心，無數眾生不受諸法，漏盡，心得解脫。

爾時阿難即從坐起，偏袒右肩，頭面禮佛足，白佛言：「世尊！當何名此經？云何奉持？」

佛告阿難：「此經名為『攝一切法』，亦名『莊嚴諸佛法』，又名『思益梵天所問』，又名『文殊師利論議』，當奉持之。」

佛說是經已，文殊師利法王子及思益梵天、等行菩薩、長老摩訶迦葉、慧命阿難，及諸天眾、一切世人，受持佛語，皆大歡喜。
