The Sutra of the Mantra of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Spoken by the Buddha
I take refuge in the all-pervading realm of space, The pure and equal cause across the three times.
The nature of Dharma-light, the path of true awakening, Manifests in forms that bring joy to humans and gods.
Revealing the free and sovereign state of the ten grounds, Fulfilling great vows to liberate all beings,
Adorned with marks of virtue, known as Samantabhadra— Now I speak this mantra, the secret teaching.
At that time, the great bodhisattva Samantabhadra, wishing to manifest a vast transformation, entered a state of deep meditation called "Sovereign Lord of the Three Realms." Upon entering this meditation, from the pure and empty expanse of space, he manifested countless bodies—as numerous as grains of sand—filling the entire great chiliocosm and all worlds.
At that moment, all the Buddhas across every realm extended their right hands and placed them upon the head of the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, praising him, saying: "Excellent, excellent! Child of the Buddha! You shall now proclaim the supreme dhāraṇī method, the mother of all Buddhas."
Then, the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra emitted a thousand rays of light, illuminating all ten directions, causing every Buddha realm to tremble. And he spoke the dhāraṇī:
