### ○第二請師

> Second Invitation to the Teacher

夫元受三歸為翻往昔之邪境即授五戒先登初級之重樓不得明師難傳勝法今為汝等一心恭請某甲堂上某人和尚為五戒阿闍梨而況此師誨人無倦接物有方故須專秉一心恭陳三唱請尺一下高唱云。

> Now, having received the Three Refuges to turn away from past wrongdoings, we proceed to confer the Five Precepts, which serve as the first step on the path to higher attainment. Without a wise teacher, it is difficult to transmit this excellent Dharma. Today, we sincerely invite the Venerable <note>So-and-So</note>, the <note>such-and-such</note> Master from our temple, to serve as the preceptor for the Five Precepts. Moreover, this teacher tirelessly guides others and skillfully interacts with all beings. Therefore, we must focus our minds with single-hearted devotion and sincerely invite him with threefold proclamations. <note>One beat of the clapper, then raise the voice and proclaim:</note>

大德一心念我某甲今請大德為五戒阿闍梨願大德為我作五戒阿闍梨我依大德故得受優婆塞戒慈愍故三請各尺一下女受云優婆夷五戒師答云汝既陳請我當為汝作五戒阿闍梨所有教示汝須諦听侍者下座。
