### 次如來相字印呪之四十九

> Mudra of the Tathagata's Marks, Mantra Forty-Nine

「又以左右二手八指各伸磔開，右押左，相叉相押中節。其八指頭各直竪伸，勿著岐間。其二大母指亦各邪磔竪申，頭相去寸半，以印當胸三寸間著。印呪曰：

> Then, with the fingers of both hands—eight fingers in total—spread them apart and extend them fully. Place the right hand over the left, crossing and pressing the middle sections together. Keep the eight fingertips upright and stretched, without letting them touch the gaps between the fingers. For the two thumbs, angle them outward and extend them upward as well, keeping a distance of about an inch and a half between their tips. Hold this hand seal about three inches in front of the chest. As you form this seal, recite the mantra:

「『娜莫三曼多勃馱南示諸二切』

> "Namo Samanta Buddha Nan Shi<note>all</note>"

「是一印呪名如來大丈夫相印三摩地門。

> This one seal mantra is called the Samādhi Gate of the Tathāgata's Great Hero Mark.
