將釋經文，大分為三：初從如是我聞至歸來佛所，是序分；次從阿難見佛至第十卷知有涅槃不戀三界，是正宗分；後從阿難若復有人至終，是流通分。
The explanation of the scripture is divided into three main sections: First, from "Thus have I heard" to "returned to the Buddha's place," is the introductory section. Next, from "Ānanda saw the Buddha" to the tenth volume's "knowing there is Nirvana and not clinging to the three realms," is the main teaching section. Finally, from "Ānanda, if there is a person" to the end, is the dissemination section.
