### 無動金剛根本三昧耶印明第十四亦名根本身印

> Immovable Vajra Root Samaya Mudra and Mantra, Chapter 14<note>Also known as the Root Body Mudra</note>

六度和合內相叉， 直舒進力頭相拄，智度屈捻方便背， 禪捻戒背亦如是。當誦金剛百字明， 加持自身堅固住，復誦本明成悉地。

> The Six Perfections join within, crossed inward, Forearms extended with vigor, heads touching in support, Wisdom bends and twists, with skillful means behind, Meditation twists the precepts' back, likewise in kind. Then chant the Hundred-Syllable Vajra Mantra, To empower your body, firm and still, Repeat the root mantra to perfect the goal.

真言曰：

> The mantra is:

「唵阿三摩阿三摩三曼哆都那哆怛嚩泌底舍那儞訶羅訶羅娑摩二合囉拏娑麼二合囉拏尾蘖哆母馱達摩帝薩羅薩羅三摩嚩邏荷羅荷羅苻娑苻娑怛羅耶怛羅耶伽那伽那摩訶嚩囉囉迦沙二合儞入縛二合攞那入嚩二合那娑伽㘑莎縛二合訶」

> Om. Samaya, samaya. Samanta. Dhuna. Dhata. Vapiti. Śāna. Nihāra. Hāra, hāra. Sama-rāṇa. Samā-rāṇa. Vigata. Buddha. Dharma-te. Sāra, sāra. Samāvāra. Hāra, hāra. Bhusa, bhusa. Traya, traya. Gana, gana. Mahā-vāra. Rākṣa. Nivāraṇa. Nivāraṇa. Sāgare. Svāhā. (Note: This is a transliteration of a Sanskrit dhāraṇī, a sacred mantra. The "二合" notes indicate combined syllables, common in Buddhist chanting texts. The translation preserves the esoteric sounds rather than word meanings, as is traditional for such mantras.)

> Recite the Hundred-Syllable Mantra for blessing, then visualize all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas gathered before the practitioner, receiving the various vast offerings as before, achieving great accomplishment. This means all worldly attainments sought in this life—called the supreme attainment, also known as Vajrasattva's attainment. Then make this vow: "May the merit of this practice spread to all beings. May we and all sentient beings together attain Buddhahood." Recite this three times daily, at least one hundred and eight repetitions each session; anything less does not count. After recitation, use the Space-Eye Mantra and mudra as if embracing the deity, bringing joy, granting wishes, and keeping the practice firm and unbroken. Then recite the root mudra and mantra. The hand gesture follows the previous root samaya: cross the middle fingers and below inward, forming a hook, with the index fingers touching side by side, and the thumbs pressing the nails of the ring fingers. Recite the root mantra three times.
