### 紀事

蕅益道人五十五歲。盡遣學侶。單丁行腳。至歙浦。是為五月初三。越十日無事。舉筆述譜。至二十五日稿成。凡十三日。次於二十六日清出。至六月十一日完。凡十五日。願以此功德。普施法界有情。同開妙解。深知法界事理性相。同發大願速生西方極樂世界。

揚州藏經院念佛僧觀如募刻閱藏知津款內劃撥英洋一百二十八元刻此選佛譜全部連圈計字六萬九千八百六十九箇并印送五十部伏願見聞隨喜悉發道心洞曉階差誓登不退往生淨域直證菩提

> The monk Guanru of the Sutra Repository in Yangzhou, who practices Buddha-recitation, raised funds to carve the printing blocks for the \*Selected Buddha Spectrum\*. Within the donations for carving the \*Knowledge of the Tripitaka\*, 128 Mexican dollars were allocated to engrave this entire work, including punctuation marks, totaling 69,869 characters. Fifty copies were printed and distributed. May all who see or hear of this and rejoice in the offering awaken the aspiration for the Way; may they thoroughly understand the stages of practice and vow to reach the stage of non-retrogression; may they be reborn in the Pure Land and directly realize enlightenment.
