### 無時異緣

> Timeless and Unchanging Conditions

圓悟勤禪師。再參東山演。為侍者。窮參力究。自云。山僧在眾無一時異緣。十年方得打徹。

> Master Yuanwu Qin, after receiving further guidance from Master Dongshan Yan, served as his personal attendant. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to deep practice, saying, "As a monk in the community, I never had a moment of distraction. It took ten years before I finally broke through."

評曰。十年之間。無一時異緣。試問今一日間。異緣多少。何時得打徹去也。

> Commentary: In the span of ten years, not a single moment of distraction arose. But ask yourself—how many distractions occur in just one day? When will you ever break through to true clarity?
