### 第三十九卷俟彼

古文竢󵣳䇃三形同事几反尒疋俟待也。猨猴

> The ancient text says: "竢," "䇃," and "三" have the same meaning and usage, all pronounced "ji" with a reversed tone. According to the "Er Ya," "俟" means "to wait." Like a monkey waiting.

今作蝯同禹煩反似󳇐猴而大臂長其色有黑有黃鳴聲甚哀也經文作𤝌非也。擗口

> Now, regarding the character 蝯 (yuán), it's the same as 禹 and 煩, but it resembles a monkey, though larger. Its arms are long, and its color ranges between black and yellow. Its cry is very mournful. In the sutra text, it is written as 𤝌, which is incorrect. 擗口

補革反廣雅擗分也亦裂也。恤民

又作䘏同湏律反尒疋恤憂也亦𭠎也謂以財物與人曰振恤之也經中作賉未詳所出。

> This note explains the meaning and origin of the character "䘏" (xù), also written as "賉" or "恤." It is pronounced "xu" (as in "湏律反"), and according to the Erya dictionary, "恤" means "worry" or "sorrow," but it can also mean "relief" or "aid." In this context, giving财物 (money or goods) to others is called "振恤" (to relieve or support). In the sutra, it appears as "賉," but its exact origin is unclear.
