Chapter 2: The Manifestation of the Tathāgata's Marks
The bodhisattvas and all the world's rulers pondered thus: "What is the realm of the Buddha's state, the power of his blessings and actions, his fearlessness, his samadhi, and his eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind—unseizable, radiant, and vocal—each possessing the Buddha's nature?" As the verse says, "How can the Buddha's eyes be immeasurable?" and so forth.
The Buddha, knowing their thoughts, emitted light from between his teeth at the front of his face. Within that light, he spoke verses, and bodhisattvas from all ten directions gathered. The bodhisattvas, within the light, spoke verses such as: "By benefiting all beings, one purifies one's own practice." And also: "In every single dust mote, countless bodies appear, manifesting all kinds of adorned realms. All realms of the three times can be fully revealed in an instant."
Furthermore, from the white curl between the Buddha's eyebrows, a bodhisattva emerged and spoke this verse: "The Buddha's body fills the entire Dharma realm, universally appearing before all beings. Responding to conditions and connections, nothing is left unfulfilled, yet he eternally abides on this seat of enlightenment. In each and every pore of the Tathagata, sit all the Buddhas of every dust-mote realm, surrounded by assemblies of bodhisattvas, proclaiming the supreme practices of Samantabhadra."
