Ucchuṣma Vidyārāja Ritual Sanskrit Text
The Buddha said: "The greatest of all blessings is to see the Way."
The Buddha said: "If you can see the Way, that is the Way. If you cannot see the Way, that is also the Way."
The Buddha said: "Those who see the Way are like holding a torch and entering a dark room, dispelling the darkness; only light remains. Those who study the Way and see the Truth are like darkness disappearing, leaving only brightness."
The Buddha said: "Those who see the Way are like someone holding a torch who enters a dark room, dispelling the darkness so that only brightness remains. When you study the Way and see the truth, ignorance vanishes and enlightenment always remains."
The Buddha said: "A person who is wise and virtuous is like a clear, clean mirror. When they see something, they understand it clearly; when they encounter something, they grasp it thoroughly. They do not cling to past experiences, nor do they anticipate the future. They do not dwell on present thoughts, and thus they are not bound by the three periods of time.
The Sutra of the Buddha's Last Teaching
The Buddha said: "When you see someone who has attained the Way, rejoice and support them, and you will receive great blessings."
A wise man asked: "Is this blessing truly real?"
The Buddha said: "Consider a torch: though a single flame, when hundreds and thousands of people each take a torch to light their own from it, the original flame remains as it was. So too is the nature of this blessing."
Do not do evil deeds, Cultivate all good deeds, Purify your own mind— This is the teaching of all Buddhas.
The Dharma is profound and vast, Difficult to understand, difficult to enter.
The Sutra of the Bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha's Fundamental Vows
The Great Compassion Mantra
The Buddha said: "Those who follow the Way are like a torch held against the wind—they must be careful not to let it go out."
The Buddha
The Buddha said: "Those who follow the Way are like a floating piece of wood in the water, flowing with the current. If it does not touch either shore, is not picked up by people, not intercepted by ghosts or spirits, not caught in whirlpools, and does not rot, I guarantee that this piece of wood will certainly reach the sea. Those who study the Way, if they are not deluded by emotions and desires, and are not caught up in various wrong views, diligently progress with sincerity; I guarantee that they will certainly attain the Way."
The Buddha said: "Observing the goodness in others, follow and learn from it. Seeing the faults in others, reflect and correct yourself."
The mind is the Buddha.
The Buddha said: "When you see someone performing virtuous deeds, you should rejoice and support them. This will bring you great blessings."
The Buddha said: "Those who see the Way are like someone holding a torch entering a dark room, dispelling the darkness so that only brightness remains. When one studies the Way and sees the truth, ignorance vanishes and wisdom remains forever."
The Buddha said: "To see the Way is like entering a dark room holding a torch; the darkness is immediately dispelled, and only brightness remains. When one studies the Way and sees the Truth, ignorance and delusion are instantly eradicated, and enlightenment is always present."
The Buddha said: "The one who sees the Way is like holding a torch and entering a dark room, dispelling the darkness, leaving only the bright light. When one cultivates the Way and sees the truth, ignorance is extinguished, and wisdom always remains."
The Sutra on the Eight Realizations of Great Beings
The Buddha said: "Observing the goodness in others is itself a good deed. When you see goodness, you must encourage and support it. Observing the faults in others is itself a fault. When you see faults, you must refrain from speaking of them."
The Buddha said: "To see the Way is like entering a dark room holding a torch; the darkness instantly vanishes, leaving only the bright light. When one attains the Way and understands the ultimate truth, ignorance is immediately dispelled, and the mind becomes forever illuminated."
The Buddha said: "The path to enlightenment is not far away; it is right here in your own heart."
The Buddha said: "Those who follow the Way are like a floating log in a river: not touching either bank, not picked up by people, not obstructed by gods or demons, not caught in whirlpools, and not rotting. I assure you, this log will certainly reach the sea. Those who follow the Way are not deluded by emotions, not entangled by desires, and not led astray by various wrong views. Diligently cultivating the Way, I assure you, they will certainly attain the Way."
The Buddha said: "Those who follow the Way are like a piece of wood floating in a river. If it does not get caught on either bank, is not picked up by people, is not obstructed by ghosts or spirits, does not get trapped in whirlpools, and does not rot, I guarantee that this piece of wood will certainly reach the sea. Those who study the Way, if they are not deluded by emotions and desires, are not hindered by various wrong views, and diligently cultivate with a sincere heart, I guarantee that they will certainly attain the Way."
Ananda, Ananda, Do not be afraid.
The Buddha said: "Observing the way of heaven, you will find it is impartial and favors no one. Yet, it always accompanies the virtuous.
The Buddha's name is Amitabha.
The Buddha said: "Those who follow the Way are like someone carrying a bundle of straw. If they see fire approaching, they should immediately drop it and run. If they do not drop it, it is because they have not yet understood. The nature of desire and anger is even more dangerous than fire. People are constantly burdened by them, yet they do not let go. The consequences of this are immeasurable, like the foolish person who, for the sake of a little profit, destroys the great treasure. Desire and anger harm people in the same way."
The Buddha said: "Observing the world, it is like looking at water in a palm. Observing the world, it is like looking at the moon in a mirror. Observing the world, it is like looking at flowers in a dream. If you can see like this, your mind will naturally be at peace."
The Buddha said: "When you see others practicing the Way, you should rejoice and support them. Doing so brings immeasurable blessings."
The Buddha said: "Observe the heavens and the earth, and consider their impermanence. Observe the world, and consider its impermanence. Observe the spirit of enlightenment, and realize it is formless. With this understanding, you will swiftly attain enlightenment."
The Buddha said: "Those who follow the Way are like floating wood in the water. If it does not get caught on either bank, nor picked up by people, nor intercepted by demons, nor trapped in whirlpools, and it does not rot, I guarantee that this wood will eventually reach the sea. Those who study the Way are not swayed by emotions and desires, nor led astray by various wrong views. With diligent effort, I guarantee that they will attain the Way."
The Buddha said: "Those who follow the Way are like a floating log in a river—not touching either bank, not picked up by people, not obstructed by spirits, not caught in whirlpools, and not rotting. If it does not get caught on either shore, is not picked up by people, is not obstructed by ghosts or spirits, does not get trapped in whirlpools, and does not rot, I guarantee that this wood will eventually reach the sea. Those who follow the Way are not confused by emotions and desires, nor are they hindered by various wrong views. With diligent progress, I guarantee that they will attain the Way."

Those who follow the Way are not deluded by emotions and desires, not hindered by various false views. Diligently cultivating the mind, I guarantee they will attain the Way."
The Sutra of the Great Vow of the Earth Store Bodhisattva
The Buddha said: "Those who follow the path of goodness are like a fragrant plant. Though it grows in the mud, its scent spreads far and wide. Those who follow the path of evil are like a sharp knife. Though it cuts through water, the water leaves no mark on it."
The Buddha's teaching is like a lamp that dispels the darkness of ignorance.
