> Guanyin's Birthday<note>the 19th day of the second lunar month</note>

蓂收四莢。月仲三春。千家簾幕捲香風。萬里溪山浮瑞彩。尋巢紫燕双双對舞於彫梁。求友黃鶯兩兩齊迁於喬木。官柳現真如之色。仙花噴戒定之香。鋪排青帝之韶光。裝點觀音之誕節。

> Four pods of the herb have ripened, marking the second month of spring. From a thousand homes, curtained windows open to fragrant breezes; across ten thousand miles, streams and mountains glow with auspicious light. Purple swallows seeking their nests dance in pairs beneath carved beams; orioles in search of companions flit two by two among the tall trees. The official willows display the color of true thusness; heavenly blossoms exude the fragrance of precepts and meditative concentration. All this adorns the splendor of the spring god, embellishing the festival of Guanyin's birth.
