### 淨水文

> Purification Water Verse

法筵光啟。誠意精虔。欲迎諸聖以來臨。必藉四方之清淨。故憑法水灌洒道場。其水也。崑崙孕秀。河漢流芳。蓮華香裏碧波寒。楊柳枝頭甘露洒。蓬岳之三山對揖。曹溪之一派長流。鼓祥風而玉皺千江。翻驟雨而銀推四瀆。禹門春暖魚透三層。莊海秋高鵬搏萬里。七寶池中標玉字。九龍口裏浴金仙。群生藉此潤焦枯。大地因茲消垢穢。用憑佛水。普洒法筵。蕩除萬劫之昏蒙。永獲一真之清淨。　伽陀。

> The Dharma feast begins, with sincere devotion. To welcome the holy ones' arrival, We must purify this sacred space in all directions. Thus, we use the Dharma water to sprinkle and cleanse this sanctified ground. This water— Born from the Kunlun Mountains' essence, Flowing with the Milky Way's fragrance. In lotus-scented waves, its emerald cold shimmers; From willow branches, sweet dew pours forth. The three isles of Penglai bow in greeting, While Cao Creek's single stream flows ever long. Stirring gentle winds, it ripples across a thousand rivers; Turning sudden rains, it washes the four great waterways. At Yu Gate's spring warmth, fish leap through threefold waves; In Zhuang's vast sea at autumn's height, rocs soar ten thousand miles. In the Seven Treasures Pond, jade words are inscribed; From the Nine Dragons' mouths, golden immortals are bathed. All beings rely on this to relieve their drought and withering; The great earth uses this to cleanse all defilement. By this Buddha water, We sprinkle throughout the Dharma feast, Dispelling the darkness of ten thousand eons, And eternally gaining the purity of ultimate truth. Gatha:

菩薩柳頭甘露水能令一滴洒十方腥膻垢穢盡蠲除令此道場悉清淨　諷真言。

> The Bodhisattva's nectar water from the willow branch, A single drop can sprinkle across the ten directions, Washing away all filth and impurity, Purifying this entire sacred space. Recite the mantra.

又

> Furthermore,

夫水也。靈派自高。妙源誰究。四海月明夜湛湛乎玉潔𣲙清。九江風靜時浩浩乎霜飛雪瑩。滋乎小。滋乎大。無所不宜。決之東。決之西。何方不利。曹溪舊傳一滴。藥山曾指四來。上善推其嘉聲。良柔全其真性。滴之乃骨毛輕爽。可以除有漏之塵煩。飲之則心膽清涼。可以消無邊之熱惱。是以甘露王碧琉璃瓶內。觀自在綠楊柳枝頭。洒之則點點無私。沾之則時時有潤。用憑佛水。普淨法筵同前。

> Water—its spiritual source flows from on high; who can fathom its mysterious origin? When the moon shines bright over the four seas, the night is deep and pure, like jade or clear ice. When the wind stills over the nine rivers, the vast expanse sparkles like frost or snow. It nourishes the small, nourishes the great—nothing it does not suit. Channeled east, it flows east; channeled west, it flows west—what direction does it not benefit? The Caoxi stream once passed down a single drop, and Yaoshan once pointed to the coming of the four waters. The highest goodness praises its fine reputation; gentleness and yielding preserve its true nature. A single drop of it lightens the bones and refreshes the spirit, able to remove the dust and worries of worldly affliction. Drink it, and the heart and gall grow cool and clear, able to quench the boundless heat of vexation. Therefore, within the azure glass vase of the Sweet Dew King, and on the green willow branch of Guanyin, it sprinkles—drop by drop, with impartial grace; touch it, and it moistens at every moment. Thus we rely on this Buddha water to purify the entire Dharma assembly.

又

是水也。方圓隨器。盈虗任時。春泮冬凝。坎流艮止。浩浩乎妙源莫測。滔滔乎靈派難窮。碧㵎藏龍。寒潭浸月。或在君王龍筆下化作恩波。或居菩薩柳枝頭洒為甘露。一滴纔飛。十方俱潔同前。
