### 大聖達摩耶法寶

> The Great Dharma Treasure of Bodhidharma

偈曰。

> The verse says:

三乘妙法實難量 一念歸依散禍殃帝釋欽崇龕內供 龍王瞻敬海中藏五千貝葉靈文著 十二琅函金口章惟願輕推開寶藏 降臨法會放毫光

> The wondrous Dharma of the Three Vehicles is truly hard to fathom; A single thought of taking refuge disperses calamities and misfortune. Lord Indra reveres and offers homage within the shrine; The Dragon King gazes in reverence and hides it deep in the sea. Five thousand palm-leaf scriptures record the sacred words; Twelve jeweled caskets hold the golden teachings spoken by the Buddha's mouth. We humbly pray that the precious treasury be gently opened, And that its radiant light shine forth upon this Dharma assembly.

謹爇明香。稽首和南。一心奉請十方盡虗空界三世過現未來無窮法寶。恭惟法寶者。龍宮海藏。大聖遺言。嵓間開滿字之文。葉上寫觀花之偈。或銷金而飾筆。或刺血以濡毫。捲來檀軸香多。纏處霞絛縷細。書成返鵲。藏若回鸞。四句聞而千障消。一偈宣而六塵淨。道滿於岩間童子。功成於井上野犴。緬常瞻般若之臺。欽斯設大千之會。皆由重法。始獲聞經。半偈難逢。千生罕遇。伏願軋開龍藏捧出琅函。散天上明花。布人間喜氣。幢幡引從於前後。鐘螺振韻於高低。珠珮鳴而對對聲喧。香印分而縕縕煙散。受今虔請。願降道場。不捨慈悲。證明功德。

> I reverently offer fragrant incense, bow in homage, and sincerely invite the infinite precious Dharma from the ten directions—from the boundless realm of space, across the three times of past, present, and future. Honored is the Dharma, the sacred teachings found in the dragon king's ocean treasury, the noble words left by the great sages. The complete scriptures appear among the cliffs; verses are written upon leaves, likened to blossoms in contemplation. Some texts are adorned with gold, their brushes decorated with luxury; others are written in blood, dipped from the heart. When rolled up, the scrolls carry fragrant wooden spools; when bound, the silk ribbons are woven in fine threads. The written characters take flight like returning magpies; the scrolls are stored gracefully, circling like phoenixes. Hearing a single four-line verse dissolves a thousand obstacles; proclaiming one stanza purifies the six senses. The path was fulfilled by a boy among the rocks, and success was achieved by a jackal at the well. Gazing always toward the terrace of wisdom, I respectfully establish this great assembly to honor the Dharma. All this is possible through reverence for the teachings, enabling us to hear the scriptures. A half-verse is rarely encountered; a single stanza is seldom met even across a thousand lifetimes. I humbly pray that the dragon treasury be opened, and the jeweled cases brought forth. May celestial flowers scatter from the heavens, and joy spread across the human world. Banners and canopies lead from front to back; bells and conch shells sound in varied tones, high and low. Jade ornaments jingle as pairs pass by, while fragrant seals part, dispersing clouds of incense smoke. Having received this sincere invitation, may you descend upon this gathering, never abandoning compassion, and bear witness to our merit.

長聲云唯願法慈廣大。妙力難思。降臨道場。眾和證明功德。香華請。香花請。

> We humbly pray that Your Dharma compassion, vast and boundless, with wondrous powers beyond conception, may descend upon this sacred gathering. (All together) Witness our merits. We offer incense and flowers in invitation. Incense and flowers in invitation.
