> Sevenfold Offering: Summary Text

法筵光啟。賢聖降臨。雖至誠自可以感神。然非物不足以見意。是用敬焚一炷煙飄靉靆祥雲。輕折數枝色現芬芳瑞彩。一滴洒為甘露。七層燦若明星。龍團碾破噴清香。蠏眼湯烹有真味。滿前芬馥無非香積厨中。座上圓明盡是菩提種子。用伸貢獻。以表純忱。

> The Dharma banquet begins, its light shining forth. Sages and holy ones descend in presence. Though sincere devotion alone can move the spirits, without offerings the intention cannot be made visible. Thus, with reverence, we light a stick of incense—its smoke drifting like auspicious clouds. We gently break a few branches, their colors revealing fragrant and blessed radiance. A single drop becomes sweet dew; seven tiers shine like bright stars. The dragon-patterned tea cake is ground, releasing pure fragrance; when the crab-eye bubbles form in the boiling water, true flavor emerges. All that fills the space is fragrant—nothing but the aroma from the kitchen of accumulated merit. Seated here in perfect brightness, all are seeds of enlightenment. With these we make our offering, to express our utmost sincerity.
