> Recommend the Father

陟岵興嗟爰起勞思之志。蓼莪託詠難伸哀告之誠。雖殫孝子之心。莫報昊天之德。伏念父某生成德重教養恩深。本期盡養於百年。豈謂俄終於一疾。

> Climbing the hill, I sigh, stirring thoughts of labor and longing. The song of the wormwood speaks, yet cannot fully express the depth of my sorrowful plea. Though a filial child exhausts their heart, they cannot repay the vast kindness of heaven. I humbly reflect on my father<note>\[Name\]</note>, whose virtue in giving me life and care in raising me runs deep. I had hoped to serve him fully for a hundred years, but who could have foreseen that he would suddenly pass away after a brief illness.
