### 俗人

風飃紅葉滿庭雨。籬畔黃花猶泣露。堪笑重陽人已去。泉路茫茫有何據。某人不是臺山淩行婆。亦非湘江靈照女。團欒不說無生話。有物不就他人取。一子從釋脫塵覊。三子傳家已婚聚。視富貴若過眼飛灰。脫生死如曉日朝露。驀然仙路便翻身。撒手明明與麼去。直饒千聖出頭來。到此如何留得住。敢問諸人。既是留不住。必竟去何處。還委悉麼。出門跳下白牛車。好看乘雲歸淨土起。

> Wind-blown red leaves fill the courtyard with rain. By the fence, yellow blossoms still weep with dew. How laughable—the Ninth Day festival, yet people have already departed. The path to the underworld stretches endlessly; what proof is there? Not the Lingxing woman of Taishan, Nor the spirit-gathering girl of Xiangjiang. Sitting together, we speak not of the unborn; If something exists, we do not take it from others. One son has left home, freed from worldly ties; Three sons carry on the family, already wed and settled. Wealth and honor—seen as fleeting smoke in the eyes; Escaping birth and death—like morning sun and dawn dew. Suddenly, on the immortal path, one turns around; Letting go, clearly, departing in this way. Even if a thousand sages were to arise, At this point, how could they hold one back? I dare ask you all: since none can hold them back, Where, after all, do they go? Do you fully understand? Stepping out the door, leaping off the white ox cart— Behold, they ride the clouds, returning to the Pure Land.
