### 忻厭並生

> Aversion and Attachment Arise Together

生死循環那箇逃 袈裟一失更難復塵居暫栖仍三途 苦報難言惶悽哭是因皆由三毒起 從今痛悔日消脫懇切持名心時懺 志取求生安養國親見阿彌陀佛面 始得我心癡想足一生彼國禮佛已 𢌞入娑婆揚極樂不惜身命化眾生 勉勵有情歸淨域我今欣厭發宏誓 願佛慈光接我速

> Verse after verse, trapped in the cycle of birth and death— Once the monastic robe is lost, recovery is hard indeed. This worldly life is but a temporary shelter, yet we still sink into three lower realms. The bitter retribution is beyond words—only sorrow, fear, and weeping remain. All these sufferings arise from the three poisons. From now on, I deeply repent, so daily suffering may loosen its hold. With earnest devotion I recite the Buddha’s name, always mindful of repentance. I resolve to seek rebirth in the Land of Peace and Nourishment. When I behold Amitabha Buddha face to face, Only then will this foolish heart’s longing be fulfilled. Once born in that Buddha-land, I will pay homage to the Enlightened One, Then return to the Saha world to praise the realm of utmost bliss. I will not spare body or life to transform sentient beings, Encouraging all to take refuge in the pure domain. With joyful faith and renunciation, I make this grand vow: May the Buddha, with compassion’s light, swiftly draw me near.
