### 示印維那

> Shi Yin Weina

昔雲峯悅。誦先德。如何是佛法大意。三問三被打話。知金鑾有善。大愚有芝。憤憤悱悱。未萌一念已前。早被大愚一󰋪󰋪定。及聞大家相聚。喫莖󳳩語。如銀山鐵壁。不可端倪。夜造丈室。大愚曰。來何所求。云求佛心法。驗人端的處。下口便知音。雲峯若是箇漢。何處討大愚邪。

> Once upon a time, Ven. Yunfeng Yue was reciting the words of an ancient worthy. Asking, "What is the great meaning of the Buddhadharma?" Three times he asked, and three times he was beaten. He then learned that Jinluan had Shan, and Dayu had Zhi. Indignant and unsettled, before even a single thought had arisen, he had already been "settled" by Dayu. Later, upon hearing the remark, "A gathering of many, all eating greens," it struck him like a mountain of silver and a wall of iron—utterly unfathomable. He went to Dayu's room at night. Dayu asked, "What are you seeking by coming?" He replied, "I seek the mind-seal of the Buddha, the touchstone for testing a person. Speak directly, and you shall know true kindred." If Yunfeng had been that man, where could he have looked for Dayu?

前輩。具上根利性。得旨以還。深蓄厚養。不求聞達。霜露果熟。迫不得已。為人推出。則驚群動眾。自然蓋天蓋地。終不同褪花杏子摘却。一動一靜。其氣岸過人遠甚。

吾門大法。的非小緣。學者起。問津一意之難。莫如求師之難。師家利生接物。以壽慧命之難。莫如求弟子之難。授受之際。不苟如此。

播南印維那。朅來南方孤峯絕頂。與眾作息。根器重厚。造詣深穩。若不能言者。歲晚以其親庭尊年。決去江湖。志之所在。不可遏。能於汝言與心親。汝行與道合處。見難提之於密多。如水乳合。如珠走盤。以印其心。方知今生父母須親近。從本爺孃在頂門。是也。
