### 邪命自活

> Living by Wrong Livelihood

菩薩於正命。食亦不取。而況邪命。凡涉於心思口習。身手造作而成者。皆和合因緣法也。以因緣為實法。生取受心。即是和合百種毒藥。千種毒藥。蛇毒生金銀毒。蠱毒矣。彼以自活。適以自戕。

> A bodhisattva does not even take food that is rightfully obtained, let alone that which is gained through wrongful means. Anything that arises from thoughts, spoken words, or physical actions is the result of causes and conditions coming together. To regard these conditioned phenomena as truly existing and to develop attachment to them is to mix together a hundred kinds of poison, a thousand kinds of poison—the venom of snakes, the poison of gold and silver, and the poison of sorcery. Those who try to sustain themselves this way only end up destroying themselves.
