### 紀氏

句容葛濟之妻。劉宋時人也。濟之為稚川後。世學僊術。紀氏獨心樂佛法。存誠不替。一日方織。仰首見雲日開朗。空中清明。忽有寶葢幡幢。自西方來。中擁一如來。金色晃耀。照徹雲表。紀氏停梭諦觀。中懷踴躍曰。經說無量壽佛。此其是耶。便頭面作禮。仍引濟之指示佛處。濟之但見半身。及諸幡葢。俄而隱沒。於時鄉里老幼。咸共覩聞。從而歸佛者甚眾冥祥記。

> In the Liu Song dynasty, there was a woman named Ji, the wife of Ge Jizhi from Jurong. Jizhi was a descendant of Ge Hong and practiced the arts of immortality, but his wife, Ji, found joy in the Buddha's teachings and maintained sincere devotion without wavering. One day, while weaving, she looked up and saw the clouds part and the sky clear. Suddenly, a canopy of banners and streamers appeared from the west, surrounding a golden Buddha whose radiance shone brilliantly through the clouds. Ji set aside her shuttle and gazed intently, her heart leaping with joy. She said, "The sutras speak of Amitabha Buddha—could this be him?" She bowed her head in reverence and pointed out the Buddha's presence to Jizhi. Jizhi saw only half of the Buddha's form and the banners, which soon vanished. At that time, many elders and children in the village witnessed this event and heard of it. As a result, numerous people turned to the Buddha's teachings.
