玅音遠來聽法華經
Wondrous Sound Comes from Afar to Hear the Lotus Sutra
釋迦牟尼佛放肉髻光明。徧照東方百八萬億那由他恒河沙等世界。過是數已。有淨華宿王智佛國。彼有菩薩名曰玅音。久已植眾德本。是菩薩欲從淨華宿王智佛國與八萬四千菩薩而來至此娑婆世界。供養於我。亦欲供養聽法華經。于時玅音菩薩於彼國沒。與八萬四千菩薩俱共發來。時多寶佛告玅音言。善哉善哉。汝能為供養釋迦牟尼佛及聽法華經故來至此。
Shakyamuni Buddha emitted a radiant light from the crown of his head. The light illuminated worlds to the east numbering over one hundred eighty thousand kotis, nayutas, and Ganges sands. Beyond those, there exists the land of the Buddha Flower Virtue King. In that land is a bodhisattva named Wonderful Sound, who has long planted virtuous roots. This bodhisattva, along with eighty-four thousand other bodhisattvas, wished to come from the land of Buddha Flower Virtue King to this Saha world. They came to make offerings to me and to listen to the Lotus Sutra. Then Bodhisattva Wonderful Sound departed from that land, and together with the eighty-four thousand bodhisattvas, they set out.
At that time, Many Jewels Buddha said to Wonderful Sound, "Excellent! Excellent! You have come here to make offerings to Shakyamuni Buddha and to listen to the Lotus Sutra."
