容谷步虗聲。一問還一答。覓之無形影。音聲又非別。求之不可求。撇之不可撇。思量惱殺人。悶悶彊自歇。

> A voice in the empty valley walking in the void— Each question finds its own reply. Search for it, yet no shape or shadow; Sound and voice are not something apart. Long for it, and it cannot be grasped; Brush it aside, and it cannot be cast. Thinking about it only drives you mad. In frustration, you force yourself to rest.
