### 黃龍參慈明

> Huanglong Visits Ciming

若有喫棒分。慈明不合恁麼道。若無喫棒分。雲門不合恁麼道。兩頭如不解。中間空懊惱。若人認得聲。哩哩蓮花落。

> If you're entitled to receive a beating, then Ciming shouldn't have spoken that way. If you're not entitled to receive a beating, then Yunmen shouldn't have spoken that way. If you can't grasp either end, you'll only get frustrated in the middle. But if someone truly recognizes the sound— "Lililili, the lotus flower falls."
