### 長水問瑯琊清淨本然話頌

> Praising Changshui's Question to Langya on "Originally Pure and Spontaneous"

騎賊馬。奪賊鎗。於中無事可商量。不知長水何緣故。留得清名萬古揚。

> Riding a thief's horse and seizing a thief's spear— In this, there's nothing left to debate. Yet the long river, for some reason unknown, Keeps his pure name praised through ages flown.

瑯琊不曾言。長水無可悟。八字如打開。兩手相分付。

> Langya never spoke. Changshui had nothing to awaken to. When these eight words are opened up, Both hands offer it freely.
