### 為松巢林上座舉火

> Lighting the Funeral Pyre for Elder Songchao Lin

萬里神光頂後相。著眼看時看不見。若教火內翻身後。打破虗空無兩樣。林上座還會麼。須領略。放四大莫把捉。你須證。你須覺。忽然踏著來時路。始信從前都是錯。須知淨土有蓮胎。不戀娘生這軀殻。這軀殻。與燒却。若也會得。當下安樂。其或不信。老僧與你下個毒手毒脚。全憑一把無明火。燒得大千無好惡。

> The brilliant light spans ten thousand miles, Yet when you look, you cannot see it— It forms the mark above the head. If you learn to turn within the fire, You'll shatter empty space—no trace of difference remains. Master Lin, does this make sense to you? You must grasp it. Let go of the four great elements—do not cling. You must realize. You must awaken. The moment you step back onto the path from which you came, You'll finally see that everything before was wrong. Know this: the Pure Land holds a lotus womb. Do not cling to this mortal body you received at birth. This physical form—it will be burned. If you truly understand this, you'll find peace right now. But if you still doubt, I'll use my fierce methods— Entirely relying on a single fire of ignorance To burn the vast universe until there is neither good nor bad.
