### 又

> Furthermore,

對面不相識。莫是山中客。依稀似欲言。又覺長年默。

> Meeting face to face, yet they don't know each other. Could it be a hermit in the mountains? He seems to want to speak, But then you feel he's been silent for years.

又

> Furthermore,

倚巖打坐。傍家行脚。窮年失伴堪寂寞。一段身心絕逗留。長嘯孤雲與野鶴。

> Sitting in meditation, leaning against the cliffs, wandering on pilgrimages, passing shops and homes. Year after year, without a companion—such solitude is hard to bear. The body and mind have nowhere left to linger. A long howl rises to the lonely cloud and the wild crane.

> Furthermore,

揮麈獨坐。欲譚何事。終日無言。示第一義。

> Waving a whisk, sitting alone—what is there to discuss? Remaining silent all day, revealing the ultimate truth.

> Furthermore,

數竿修竹下。一片鷹石間。獨坐思前古。忘懷祇面山。

> Beneath a few slender bamboos, And between the hawk-like rocks, I sit alone, pondering the ancient past, Letting go of all thoughts, just facing the mountain.

> Furthermore,

楖𣗖橫擔。銕鞋踏破。以心取心。圖個什麼。逢人尋覓。走徧天下。眉毛眼上。鼻孔下大。喫粥喫飯。休更差過。

> Carrying a staff crosswise, Worn-out iron shoes have trod the earth all over. Seeking mind with mind— What is it you're after? Chasing after others, searching high and low, You've wandered through the entire world. Eyebrows are right above the eyes, Nostrils open wide below. Eating porridge, eating meals— Don't let this moment slip away.

又

> Furthermore,

難入頭。好相識。易見面。認不得。微塵有剩。虗空逼塞。這個無知老漢。只好拈來挂東壁。

> Hard to truly enter, easy to recognize by face. We meet so often, yet fail to know at all. A speck of dust holds infinite excess, empty space is crowded full. This old, ignorant fellow— best thrown away, hung unused on the eastern wall.
