> Two Poems on the Journey

辭京已半月。客路幾盤桓。谿峻浪花逆。山高風色寒。馬蹄輪石磴。鳥道渡雲端。絕頂如窮到。方知身世寬。

> Half a month has passed since I left the capital. On this winding road, I linger and stall. The stream is steep, waves rush against the way; The mountains are high, the wind feels cold and gray. Horses’ hooves tread on stone paths, step by step; A bird’s trail crosses the clouds, a narrow path. If one reaches the summit, truly steep and tall, Only then will they know the vastness of it all.
