> Visiting Lotus Nunnery with Governor Ma Cheng on the Day After Lantern Festival

春風吹上苑。草色青階除。楊柳萌金糓。梅花綻玉糈。愛蓮因鑿沼。結社搆深居。索偈應無說。談心論有餘。

> A spring breeze sweeps the imperial garden— Grass greens the stone steps, willows sprout golden catkins, Plum blossoms unfurl like scattered jade pearls. Loving the lotus, he dug a pond; To form a fellowship, he built a secluded dwelling. Asked for a verse, he should have none to speak. Yet, in heart-to-heart talk, the meaning is more than enough.
