### 過安化寺望白家庄義塚

> Passing Anhua Temple, Gazing at Baijiazhuang's Public Cemetery

君是離鄉客。我亦背井人。彼此既相關。其誰不動神。姓名詮竹簡。白骨露風塵。日望鄉關信。愁聞歲月新。紙錢孰為送。來往唯浮雲。兔死狐何悲。亦知為同羣。同鄉無異土。傷悼何殷勤。屈指祇自知。衷腸難訴君。

> You are a traveler far from home. I too have left my native land. Since we share this bond, who among us can be unmoved? Our names are recorded on bamboo slips, while our bones lie exposed in the wind and dust. Each day we watch for news from home. With worry, we hear the arrival of a new year. Who sends us paper money? Only the drifting clouds come and go. When a rabbit dies, why does the fox grieve? It too knows they are of the same kind. Countrymen share no different soil—why are our sorrows so deep? Counting on fingers, I alone understand. It's hard to pour out my true feelings to you.
