### 第五教相

> Chapter 5: Classification of Teachings

此大乘菩薩藏攝。又是無問自說徹底大慈之所加持。能令末法多障有情依斯徑登不退。故當來經法滅盡。特留此經住世百年廣度含識。阿伽陀藥萬病總持。絕待圓融不可思議。華嚴奧藏法華祕髓。一切諸佛之心要。菩薩萬行之司南。皆不出於此矣。欲廣歎述窮劫莫盡。智者自當知之。

> This scripture belongs to the Mahayana Bodhisattva tradition. It is also a teaching spoken without being asked, fully empowered by the ultimate great compassion \[of the Buddha\]. It can enable beings with many obstacles in the final Dharma age to swiftly attain non-retrogression \[on the path to enlightenment\]. Therefore, when the other teachings of the Dharma die out in the future, this scripture will specifically remain in the world for a hundred years to widely rescue all sentient beings. It is like a universal medicine that can cure all illnesses. Its nature is beyond all duality, perfectly complete, and inconceivable. It contains the hidden teachings of the Avatamsaka Sutra and the secret essence of the Lotus Sutra. The essential mind of all Buddhas and the compass for the ten thousand practices of Bodhisattvas all come from this. If one wished to describe and praise it fully, even an endless number of eons would not be enough. Those with understanding will naturally know this.
