### 五寄報淨土者

> Five Types of Rebirth in the Pure Land

四禪地中摩醯首羅天。如來於彼成等正覺。起信論。菩薩功德成滿。於色究竟處示一切世間最高大身。藏和尚謂別十地寄報。十王第十地寄。當此。天王即於彼示成菩提。然彼天雖三災不到。未若蓮󳬛直出三界。以在色究竟故。

> Within the Fourth Dhyana, in the Heaven of Mahesvara, the Tathagata attained perfect enlightenment. The \*Awakening of Faith\* says: When the bodhisattva's merits are complete, in the highest realm of form, he manifests the supremely great body for all worlds. Master Fazang explained that this corresponds to special karmic rewards for the ten stages: the tenth stage's reward is associated with this heaven. That heavenly king then manifests the attainment of enlightenment there. However, although that heaven is beyond the three calamities, it is not superior to directly transcending the Three Realms—because it still resides within the highest realm of form.
