### 七依他淨土者

> Seven Types of Pure Lands

梵網經。我今盧舍那。方坐蓮華臺。周帀千花上。復現千釋迦。一花百億國。一國一釋迦等者。以初地化百剎有百葉之花。二地化千剎則有千葉。三地萬葉。四地億葉。次第倍增。依他受用身。分示報境。入地乃見。非如蓮池會上。十念眾生頓見淨佛國土。

> The Brahma Net Sutra says: "I, Vairochana, now sit upon a lotus throne. On a thousand petals around me appear a thousand Shakyamunis. On each petal are a hundred billion lands, and in each land is a Shakyamuni." This means that on the first ground (of a Bodhisattva’s spiritual development), one can transform a hundred worlds, which is symbolized by a hundred-petaled lotus. On the second ground, one can transform a thousand worlds, corresponding to a thousand petals. On the third ground, ten thousand petals; on the fourth, a hundred billion petals—each stage doubling in scope. These forms are \*the enjoyment bodies for others\* (Saṃbhogakāya appearing for advanced beings), displaying the reward lands in stages—only those who have reached these grounds can see them. This is not like in the Pure Land assembly, where even beings with just ten recitations can instantly see the Land of Ultimate Bliss.
